It is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you as we celebrate, preserve, and promote the rich legacy of Gospel music throughout the great state of Arkansas.
Arkansas has played an important role in the history and development of Gospel music. From churches and community gatherings to quartet conventions, choirs, soloists, musicians, pastors, and Gospel music pioneers, our state has produced voices and ministries that have touched generations and carried a message of faith, hope, love, and perseverance.
Arkansas Gospel Music Heritage Month was established to recognize and honor the extraordinary individuals, families, churches, organizations, and communities whose contributions have helped shape the Gospel music heritage of Arkansas. We are committed to ensuring that these stories, songs, traditions, and legacies are not forgotten.
Our work extends beyond celebrating the past. We seek to educate, inspire, and engage future generations by introducing young people and communities to the historical, cultural, and spiritual significance of Gospel music. Through our celebrations, tributes, educational initiatives, community partnerships, and special events, we create opportunities for generations to come together and experience the enduring power of Gospel music.
